The Tox Lowdown
Botulinum toxin is a well established, widely used treatment for both cosmetic and therapeutic purposes, suitable for all skin types and ethnicities. It softens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles caused by expression, for a more refreshed, natural look.
As we age and skin loses elasticity, the repetitive facial muscle movements we use every day begin to create fine lines and wrinkles, even at rest. By delivering a precise dose of botulinum toxin to targeted muscles, muscle activity is reduced, easing tension on the skin for a smoother, more rejuvenated look.
Within days of treatment, muscles relax, preventing new lines and softening existing ones. Commonly treated areas include the forehead, frown lines, and crow's feet. Results typically last 3 to 4 months, with longevity often increasing with regular treatment.
We offer both Botox and Xeomin - a second generation toxin that has been formulated in a way where extra additives have been removed.

What to Expect
Following an individualised consultation and facial assessment, together we'll develop a treatment plan based on your goals, with upfront pricing.
The procedure itself is quick, with minimal discomfort and no downtime. It involves cleansing the area, then using a fine needle to deliver the required dose to your targeted muscles. You may feel a slight stinging sensation during treatment.
Afterwards, you'll receive clear aftercare instructions. We typically schedule a quick review at two weeks, about 10 minutes, to check results and manage any dose adjustments.
Results
The effects aren't immediate. You'll usually start to notice muscle relaxation after 3 to 5 days, with full effect visible around 10 to 14 days post injection. Results last an average of 3 to 4 months, as your body gradually metabolises the toxin and repairs the connection between nerve and muscle. Longevity can increase with regular treatment.
